The Eagles and Patriots boasted two of the NFL’s best defenses this season.

Both were lit up Sunday at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.

The second fourth-down conversion came with under six minutes remaining after the Patriots had taken a 33-32 lead. Pederson chose to go for it on fourth-and-1 from his own 45-yard line. Foles completed a 2-yard pass to tight end Zach Ertz to keep the drive alive. Ertz later dove into the end zone for what was a controversial 11-yard score with 2:21 remaining.

Blitzing did not work for either team — Foles was 6 of 10 for 134 yards and a touchdown when blitzed in the first half. Brady’s quick release allowed him to pick apart the Eagles. The Eagles pass rush was just a hair too late getting to Brady and he made them pay. Brady had 276 passing yards in the first half alone and kept it going in the second half with a pair of touchdowns to Rob Gronkowski. A 4-yard toss to Gronkowski with 9:22 remaining gave New England its only lead of the game.

“I’ve got the best players in the world and it’s a resilient group,” Pederson told NBC Sports following the game. “We just wanted to stay aggressive … and let our playmakers make plays.”

Here are three reasons why the Patriots lost:

1. Non-existent defense in crucial moments — The Patriots allowed 538 total yards of offense. Foles threw for 373 yards and three touchdowns (his interception was mostly a fluke due to Alshon Jeffery trying to make a circus catch), and LeGarrette Blount added 90 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries against his former team.

Bill Belichick opted to bench Malcolm Butler in this Cheap Hockey Jerseys game due to a “coach’s decision” but New England looked like it could have used him out on the field. Philadelphia consistently picked up chunk yardage and the Patriots got lost in coverage, allowing uncharacteristic touchdowns.

2. The offensive line struggled to protect Brady — Yes, Brady Wholesale NFL Jerseys threw for 505 yards and three touchdowns, nearly setting a Super Bowl record, but the QB was hit repeatedly, especially in the first half when he looked like a training dummy in a car safety commercial.

He caught five passes for 110 yards and two touchdowns Saturday.

DaeSean Hamilton, WR, Penn State — Hamilton is a good route runner and has very good hands as well, but he was often ignored because of the prominence of McSorley and Barkley.

Lamar Jackson, QB, Louisville — Like McSorley, Jackson often gets overlooked as an NFL QB sometimes, but when a player can throw the ball and rush for Cheap Hockey Jerseys 158 yards on and 24 carries, he is worth taking a look at. The Cardinals did lose 31-27 to Mississippi State though and Jackson was a big reason. He went 13-of-31 passing for 171 yards with two touchdowns, but four interceptions. For Jackson, his NFL QB candidacy completely comes down to what kind of passer teams think he will be, or believe they can turn him into.

Times have changed a little bit, but that was the start of his coaching career. He was a coach, athletic director, and a teacher for 38 years. He retired in 1988 in New Baden, Texas to his property that he bought out there in 1960, where he basically did all the work on that land. He had about 100 head of cattle. That’s what he loved, he loved being out there, working on fences, and feeding the cows, and checking on the heifers, and doing all that stuff. That’s the stuff I got to do with him as well, me and brother, and the rest of my family. Lots of good times, lots of good moments. He came to watch a lot of football games. He was an incredible man, I have a ton of memories, and his legacy will live on forever in his family. Those are all the things I want to instill in my kids too.

Chris Peters: First off, the biggest surprise to me — by far — is James Wisniewski. I’m not going to argue with his inclusion, but after he was not selected to be part of Team USA’s roster for the Deutschland Cup, the only tournament the squad was to play in preparation for the Olympics, it looked like Wisniewski was on the outside looking in. He even tweeted on Oct. 18: Well … the Olympic dream won’t happen for this kid … what a whirlwind of NFL Jerseys China a career.

Wisniewski could have come back to the U.S. and retired, but the oft-injured defenseman stuck it out in Germany’s second pro division, where he has 36 points in 23 games for EC Kassel Huskies. Despite that offensive success, I thought he was already out of it, so he’s definitely a big surprise to see on the final roster.

Greg Olsen winning #WPMOY Challenge thanks in part to William Shatner, The Rock

Greg Olsen may or may not be named the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award before next month’s Super Bowl.

But he’s got a huge lead in the award’s #WPMOYChallenge social media charity competition, thanks to an act that went viral and Cheap Hockey Jerseys captured the attention of popular actors Dwayne Johnson and William Shatner, among others.

Shatner, best known for his role as Captain Kirk in the 1960s Star Trek: The Original Series that launched the popular franchise, regularly retweeted Olsen’s social media effort in the past day or so.

The contest ends at midnight Sunday, but with this kind of lead and with celebrities like Shatner and Johnson aboard Olsen’s lead seems safe.

During a Tuesday night interview with co-host Bill Polian and me on SiriusXM NFL Radio, Tagliabue shared his memories on the rule’s origins and its subsequent impact on the NFL and beyond.

It was a culmination of a lot of work by many people, including Dennis Green, Tony Dungy and Romeo Crennel. These coaches were really forces for equality of opportunity.

It was not about affirmative action. It was about merit being recognized. Aaron Rodgers’ first interception of the game wasn’t a bad interception, as it might as well have been a punt on third-and-long since Ricardo Allen picked it off at the Atlanta 32-yard line. The timing, though, wasn’t ideal for Green Bay, which had to Cheap Hockey Team Jerseys give the Falcons the ball back with less than two minutes to play before halftime.
